Delta 8 THC Sativa
Reading Time: 4 minutes

Delta 8 THC can be both Sativa and Indica. It depends on the strain that you’ve bought.

Today, after much R&D, Delta 8 THC is available in many different offerings. There are Delta 8 THC oils, topicals, gummies, shakes, etc. With Delta Eight THC, you’re spoiled for choice.

So, it can get confusing what to choose. Delta 8 Sativa or Delta 8 Indica? What’s better, Delta 8 THC Sativa or Delta 8 THC Indica?

Delta 8 THC: Indica or Sativa?

As we already said, Delta 8 THC can exist as both. The Indica and Sativa strains differ in terms of their effects on us.

What is Delta 8 THC Indica like?

Delta 8 THC Indica has regular Indica-like effects. But, the significant difference is that Delta 8 THC Indica does not cause paranoia.

D8 Indica has mellow and relaxing effects. In the general scheme of weed, people refer to Delta Eight Indica as a bedtime weed. Don’t mistake this by thinking that Delta-8 THC Indica is somnolent. It just means that it won’t mess with your sleeping routine.

You would be able to fall asleep after using Delta-8 THC Indica. This strain is perfect for a little break after a long day at work or just, in general, to relax if you’re feeling stressed by something.

But, it might not be the best strain to take when you want to read or focus on some task. It has the potential to make you sluggish and make it hard for you to focus on anything.

These effects are subjective and change from person to person.

What is Delta 8 THC Sativa like?

Delta 8 THC Sativa is famed for its energetic, mood-boosting effect. It will recharge you like no other strain. It is known as daytime weed for precisely this reason.

Users report it has the ability to make you feel zealous, creative, super-charged, and generally bursting with energy. It does not disrupt your focus or productivity. So you can draw that picture or read that book without having to worry about how chickens crack eggs!

You can choose from a vast number of strains available in the market. Each strain has a different cannabinoid and terpene composition. The common link between all the strains is the high concentration of limonene and caryophyllene. Both of these may have potential health benefits.

Are there any hybrid Delta 8 THC varieties available?

Hybrid Delta 8 THC varieties refer to those which have one Indica parent and one Sativa parent. They could also be a cross of other hybrid strains.

A true hybrid – one with a 50:50 Indica to Sativa ratio is a strain that is rare to find. Most of the hybrid strains are either Sativa-dominant or Indica-dominant.

In general, hybrids offer more stabilizing and balancing effects, but the primary characteristics of the strain typically define its overall undertone. In other words, for those who are too sensitive to fully Sativa strains, a Sativa-dominant hybrid may be a terrific uplifting option.

While a hybrid with a high Indica content could have calming benefits, they don’t always make you slower.

The experience of a hybrid strain is case by case because the range of effects is so broad.

How much Delta-8 THC Indica or Sativa should I take?

Delta-8 THC Indica

If you have a low tolerance or are a beginner, then about 5-15 mg of D8 THC per serving should be ample to give you a relative feeling. It will leave you in an energized and euphoric state.

If you are one with medium-level tolerance, you should take about 15-45 mg of D8 THC per serving. If you do not want the high to hit too hard but are a regular consumer of Delta 8 then this should be the proper dosage for you.

If you have a very high tolerance, you can take up to 150 mg of D8 THC to reach a state of ecstasy and bliss. However, you should be careful with consuming too much at once before even letting yourself feel high.

The perfect way to find out how much is the proper dosage for you is by trying little by little until the effects make you feel satisfied.

How long do I have to wait before I feel high?

When vaped, Delta 8 THC often begins to work after 10 to 20 minutes. If taken orally through tinctures, then it shows its effects after 1 to 1.5 hours.

Similarly, if you take a capsule or gummy, then it usually takes around 2 hours or more. You should be more patient if you are consuming your Delta 8 like this. Sit back, grab some snacks, relax and munch on them while you wait to feel the high.

Gummies and capsules have a delayed onset. They need to pass through your digestive system to reach your bloodstream and show the effects. So, we suggest waiting at least 2 hours before taking another dose.
